The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, Employee Communications and Community Investment, the successful applicant will lead the design and execution of communications strategies for organization-wide initiatives originating from our NextGen Transformation Management Office. In addition, you will also support key internal clients such as the People & Culture, Health, Safety and Environment, IT, and Corporate Communication Groups. You will develop and deliver compelling communications that inform, engage, and inspire up to 6,000 employees across 26 countries and provide communications support to enterprise-wide change management programs that will help underpin our continuous efficient growth, plus support key corporate initiatives.
Working in Calgary and interacting with leaders and colleagues at all levels of seniority in Canada, the U.S. and the Caribbean, the successful candidate will be a commercially astute, seasoned business partner who is experienced supporting the needs of the clients this role serves. Creative, organized and a natural collaborator and relationship builder, you are an exceptional writer and communicator across diverse media platforms with a demonstrable track record of project planning, management, and delivery.

How you’ll add value:
NextGen:
NextGen is an enterprise-wide business transformation program, harmonizing processes, and technologies across all of Parkland. This project will help Parkland grow and achieve its strategic ambitions, by creating a standard and flexible foundation to operate the business in an efficient and sustainable way.
You will create and execute multi-channel communications plans in alignment with the organizational change management strategy for our NextGen Program, by collaborating extensively with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Provide strategic advice to the Project Team regarding internal communications and when needed with customers and third-party stakeholders.
Develop key messaging at a program, project and workstream level ensuring NextGen objectives, critical path timeline and deliverables are appropriately understood across the business and at a departmental level.
Measure communication effectiveness and set-up, manage and maintain the program/project page of the intranet, prepare, and post supporting documents and copy.
Responsibilities:
Partner and collaborate with leaders and teams in the People & Culture (HR), HSE and IT groups (plus other enterprise functions as required), to develop and execute communication strategies that support diverse enterprise-wide initiatives that engage employees and support positive cultural and organizational change.
Within the broader People and Culture client group – activity will span Learning and Development, Talent & Performance Management, Diversity & Inclusion and Total Rewards.
This role will provide critical communications leadership and delivery to our HSE group, specifically strengthening our enterprise-wide safety culture and helping drive adoption of key safety programs.
Provide communications leadership and support to our IT organization as they advance key enterprise-wide projects and initiatives.
You will create and deliver communications strategies that span live and virtual events, multi-media and written work and your target audiences will include leaders, functional and enterprise-wide employees.
This role will require meticulous communication and engagement plans and detailed delivery roadmaps that support change management efforts and can be incorporated into a broader annual communication roadmap.

Education:
Post-secondary degree required.
Requirements:
You are a seasoned communication generalist with 7-10 years of experience.
You thrive in entrepreneurial, fast-growth environments and working alongside technical teams.
Exceptional written, verbal, bilingual and presentation communication skills.
Experience collaborating with organizational change management teams.
Proven attention to detail and ability to work independently in a time-effective manner.
Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams, build strong relationships, trust, and find solutions to difficult challenges.
You are thoughtful and see issues from every angle.
You have experience with fast-paced, global transformations.
